Pinched chalice
Made in pinching technique, this chalice was handmade out of one piece of dark stoneware clay. Glazed in matte white that allows both the pinched texture and a hint of the clay body's tone to be seen through the glazed surface.
I find that pinched vessels fit wonderfully next to paintings, beloved textiles and generally in your personally important spots of your home. They bring a handmade quality of close attention, and a testimony for the time spent making them, in repeated rhythmic touch.
May tint over time if used with dark liquids. water tight?? Can be used to hold non-acidic food stuff, dry things or for decoration.
